On Thursday, May 30, the CBA Chamber of Commerce was fortunate to attend the EDANL Annual Conference and Awards of Excellence in Deer Lake.
This conference allowed us to showcase our recent brand relaunch and plans for our summer engagement project. As well as showcasing our ideas, we were able to collaborate with over 40 Economic Development Professionals and municipal leaders to discuss economic growth within our province.
This conference highlighted community enhancement through filling labour market gaps and utilizing our resources in innovative ways. We were excited to hear from a number of organizations including MDB Insight, BDC, ACOA, NLWIC, TeamGrowNL and others to learn how these organizations promote prosperity in our communities, and the programs/services they provide to help grow the economy of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Heather and Hilarie showcased the Conception Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Brand Relaunch project at a round table of Economic Development Professionals.
On Thursday evening, the conference was closed with the EDANL Awards of Excellence. These awards, sponsored by the BDC, highlight leaders in the economic development sector.

Chambers of Commerce are organizations that are directly related to the economic development of our communities. By creating a strong network of local businesses who support each other, we are enhancing our local business community. Collaboration and networking are key players for economic growth in rural communities.
