Building on it’s indigenous roots using hand foraged botanicals from the land and surrounding sea, local company is using Wild Blueberry Extract as the star ingredient in this local sanitizer..
“There was a need in the market for people who are using sanitizers at work a lot more, have sensitive skin and fragrance intolerance. We had most of the ingredients to make a more soothing sanitizer for Newfoundlanders notoriously sensitive skin. So we stepped up and offered to help as a manufacturer in NL during this emergency.” says Lisa Walsh President Indigena Skincare.
This sanitizer smells nice, is healthy to use and comes in easy to carry packaging for your pocket or purse,
Most common ingredients in mass produced sanitizers these days include hydrogen peroxide, ethyl alcohol, acrylates, carbomer, artificial fragrance, dyes, crosspolymer to name a few.
“Less is More” with Indigena’s formula which uses isopropyl alcohol, aloe, glycerin, iceberg water, rosewater, rose oil, lemon, wild blueberry extract, and pink grapefruit. All ingredients chosen for their skin soothing and conditioning benefits.
This is a spray sanitizer so less is used and it is easy for you to return to your work without having to wait for gel to dry.
What ratio of alcohol does Health Canada recommend? 60-75% isopropyl alcohol, the lower the alcohol ratio 65%-70% means it evaporated less quickly than higher % formulas. 65% is much more soothing with repetitive daily use than a higher percentage.
