King’s Photography offers an array of services including photography, videography, voiceover work, audio production, DJing, photo booths, slideshows, drone photography, and drone videography.

He began by shooting weddings on the side and gave away all of the original film taken in his first years of work. As buzz grew and his wedding photography was sought after, he was able to charge more per session. This allowed him to move into other avenues, such as taking headshots.
Starting as a love of photography, his hobby slowly picked up steam and gave way to an exciting business venture. Phonse worked for an on-air radio station at the time, as he continued to cultivate his passion for photography.

King on being a business owner:
“I kind of get to pick my own hours, and I can pick my own boss. Every day I get a new boss depending on who is paying the bill. The trick is picking your boss and making sure you’re going to be able to work with them and make them happy, and it’s not going to cause you any grief in the end. That’s great.”
Phonse had no choice but to establish his business when a client wrote a cheque out to “King’s Photography” – pushing him to become a registered business to collect the money.
Things quickly evolved for King’s Photography and soon enough he was making more money in photography than his yearly salary at the radio station. Today he continues to use the skills he learned at the radio station, through audio editing, voiceovers, radio commercials, and more.
Why photography?
“I like that I can freeze a moment in time and be creative at the same time. I can make a little kid look more grown-up, I can show some people’s happiest moments in their lives. It makes you feel proud when you walk into somebody’s house and they got a great big huge picture of something that you shot hanging on their wall.”
