When you visit Walker Grove, it’s easy to imagine yourself living there. We spoke with partners Holly Walker and Tyrone Buckle about their vision for Walker Grove and the future that includes additional over-sized lots in Phase 2. Walker Grove is sure to become one of those subdivisions where generations of families choose to live.

This home is an affordable duplex on an oversized lot. We took a tour of this gorgeous starter home, complete with what we would describe as high end, modern eclectic finishes. While this house is brand new, there is a sense of character that already exists here. Heather describes the home as cozy but ultra clean and minimalistic – with just enough space and features throughout for a growing family. We were surprised to find 2 and a half baths and 3 spacious bedrooms in this home, we highly recommend checking it out for yourself!
We had lots of questions about life as a duplex homeowner – including: How are the homes separated? What about noise and fire protection? Holly informed us that Chris and Basil Walsh of Core Contracting Inc. have included the following layers between walls of the units: RC channel, insulation, and 5/8” fire rated gyproc. There is also a double wall with a 1” gap.

Tyrone invited us to take a look at #14 Ploughman Place, a larger home which is ready for the owners finishing touches. We chatted about what the house would look like finished and Holly and Tyrone informed us that they are extremely flexible when it comes to finishing the homes at Walker Grove. They work with the homeowner to provide a stress-free process – allowing the homeowner to select from any vendor they wish.
That being said, after hanging out in the kitchen at #4 Ploughman Place, with that stunning kitchen by Your Style Kitchens, we’re not sure why someone would look elsewhere!
