This position is a 10 week Student Summer job opportunity pending Government funding.
The Conception Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is searching for a driven, detail-oriented content creator to produce high-quality shop local and business profile content for our organization and our members. The content creator will update existing material, generate novel work, and identify new ways to promote our Buy Local Grow Local Campaign.
Content Creator Responsibilities:

Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content for our website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn pages.

Conducting research and interviews to learn about shop local trends and our member’s businesses and then contextualizing your findings.

Planning and producing photos and videos for use across all social media platforms.

Collaborating with the Social Media Manager to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems.

Suggesting new ways to encourage customers to shop local, showcase our members and grow our organization.
Content Creator Requirements:

Experience creating strong, engaging content.

A portfolio of applicable outputs.

Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite.

An understanding of SEO best practices.

Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing.

Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills.

Strong listening and communication skills.

The capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy.

Must be returning to post-secondary school in September 2021
Start date: June 21, 2021
End date: August 27, 2021
Location: Work part-time from home and part-time on location in Paradise, CBS & Holyrood.
**Must have driver’s license, and access to a vehicle.
Hours & Compensation: 35 hours per week /$15 per hour plus standard vehicle usage allowance within the Conception Bay Area
