It’s hard to believe that Theatre CBS was just an idea this time last year. On the eve of producing their second show – The Hollow by Agatha Christie, June 2-4 at All Saints Parish Hall – Theatre CBS Inc. is the newest member of the CBA Chamber of Commerce.
“We recognize the importance of being part of the Chamber and value the connections it offers,” said Dr. Vicki Greenslade, President of Theatre CBS. “We also know that we have something to offer when it comes to being part of the collective voice advocating for growth and prosperity in our community.”
The Arts have a role to play in a growing economy, and a vibrant arts community is a sign of a thriving community, period. From attracting visitors to building community pride, the Arts enhance life and provide opportunities for economic collaborations.
Theatre CBS Inc. was formed in 2021 and incorporated in early 2022.
Their vision is to be a key player in a vibrant arts community in Conception Bay South, contributing economically, socially, and culturally to the fabric of our municipality. The Theatre CBS Board of Directors is collaborating with the Town and the Chamber to enhance Conception Bay South, not only as a destination but as a place to live, work and do business.

“We have been so pleased by the reaction to Theatre CBS so far,” said Greenslade. “Not only have audiences reacted positively to our shows, but businesses and community organizations have come on board to support us through in-kind and monetary donations – and residents are eager to part, on stage or behind the scenes.”
The company has a sponsorship program, ranging from advertisements in their playbills to contributing sponsor status for those interested in developing a long-term commitment. In the fall, the group hopes to reach out to local businesses and groups to generate ideas for collaborative projects.
